Can Chris Bosh ever catch a break? From the constant social network slander (those memes are hilarious), to Lil Wayne disrespecting his wife, and now this. The Miami Heat star and his wife returned home from Bosh’s 29th birthday celebration last night to discover their home had been ransacked. Police got the call around 12:30 a.m.
Rings, watches and Mrs. Bosh expensive bag collection (155,000) were all stolen from the home. Items such as Bosh’s NBA championship ring however, were spared.
Now i’m not sure whether to be excited or confused. Thursday April, 4 Facebook announced it’s plans to release two smart phones using the new Facebook “Home” technology
“We’re not building a phone and we’re not building an operating system,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Thursday. “But we’re also building something that’s a whole lot deeper than just another app.”
Sounds like a constant stream of facebooking (if that’s even a word) to me! How does it work? According to CNN:
“Once the phone “wakes up,” the home screen and lock screen are replaced with something called “Cover Feed.” Images and posts from friends will appear as the new screen’s background. Users can flip through and interact with them — “like” an update, or post a comment — immediately without having to open a specific Facebook app. One touch takes the user to their apps, or back to the last app they were using.”
Other features include “Chat Heads”, a function that has messages popping up on you’re screen regardless of what you are doing. The senders profile pic pops up along with it too. Hmmm did Mark Zuckerburg create this or a secret society of side pieces and wifey’s plotting to know their man’s every move? Either way it sounds shady. Samsung Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Note II users will have access to the software via Google Play starting April 12. As for you Iphone users it might be a while. Let’s see if this move is a smart one for the young genius/billionaire! Stay tuned….
Legendary film critic, one half of the dynamic “Siskel & Ebert” duo Roger Ebert passed away on April 4th at the age of seventy.
“We were getting ready to go home today for hospice care, when he looked at us, smiled, and passed away. No struggle, no pain, just a quiet, dignified transition,” his wife, Chaz Ebert, said in a statement Thursday. Ebert, just Tuesday took a leave of absence from The Chicago Times after learning what he originally thought was a hip fracture, turned out to be cancer. “Last year, I wrote the most of my career, including 306 movie reviews, a blog post or two a week, and assorted other articles,” he said. “I must slow down now, which is why I’m taking what I like to call ‘a leave of presence.'”
A well, respected pulitzer prize winner, writer, and film critic Roger Ebert left the world peacefully, and doing what he loves. His final words “See you at the movies” leaves a pleasant yet lasting memory of him. R.I.P.!
“The Gifted” looks like it’s shaping up to be exactly what we Hip-hop enthusiasts are hoping it will be…EPIC. Check out Wale as he freestyles over Fun’s hit record “Sight of The Sun”
